Mr. Dawe’s practice focuses on Corporate and Commercial Law, International Financial and Commercial Transactions, and Intellectual Property.  He has extensive experience in the representation of mid-to-large-sized corporate entities in matters of governance, control, and structure.  In transactions, Jim is an expert in equipment leasing and finance, both domestic and international, with an emphasis on transportation equipment, as well as other financing transactions.  He has represented both lessors and lessees in commercial and corporate aviation equipment transactions.

Mr. Dawe has represented both American and European clients in transactions on both sides of the Atlantic.  Jim is President and a Director of World Link for Law, a leading and growing legal network of sixty international law firms, with members on five continents.

Mr. Dawe represents other clients in a wide variety of corporate and commercial transactions involving trademarks, mergers and acquisitions, and the formation of limited liability entities and their financing. 

Education:

Jim Dawe is a graduate of the University of San Francisco, A.B., 1965, and J.D., 1968.  In 1991-92, he was a visiting Fellow at St. Antony’s College, Oxford University, studying European integration.
